Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Chicago, IL office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our Land Development team. This is not a remote position, and you will lead site development engineering and project management for residential and commercial projects.

You will work with a team of engineers and designers, coordinate with clients and jurisdictions, prepare plan sets, and monitor budgets and schedules. Salary range is $95,000 to $130,000.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of civil engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with site civil design, permitting, and software including hydrology modeling, storm drainage, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Experience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management tasks.
• Familiar with coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
• Projects will include land development site designs.
• Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers on various projects and build internal/external relationships.
• Work closely with jurisdictions and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
