Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Indianapolis, Indiana office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the Land Development team. This is not a remote position, and you will work on site development for residential and commercial projects.

You will manage tasks, budgets, and schedules, coordinate with clients and jurisdictions, and contribute to project design using AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrology models, and storm drainage software. PE license or progress toward one is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with site civil design, permitting, and software including AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management tasks.
• Familiar with coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
• Projects will include a variety of land development site designs.
• Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules; manage staff and cost estimating.
• Develop bid packages and technical specifications for land development projects.
• Collaborate with clients, jurisdictions, and contractors to build strong professional relationships.
