Job summary

Tetra Tech in Miami seeks a Civil Engineer, EIT to support design and delivery of infrastructure projects across federal, municipal, commercial, and private clients.

The role includes grading and drainage, stormwater systems, complete streets, active transportation facilities, and water/sewer infrastructure. You’ll assist with design, construction documents, and permitting in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
• Engineer in Training certification.
• 1+ years of relevant civil engineering experience is a plus.
• Experience with municipal, commercial, or residential infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with design‑bid‑build: analysis, permitting, construction docs, cost estimating, construction administration/observation.
• Experience with AutoCad.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and technical writing skills.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research related to engineering policies and practices.
• Perform calculations to support planning and design, including hydrologic/hydraulic analysis.
• Prepare engineering reports.
• Develop descriptive charts, figures/maps, and tables/matrices.
• Support design analysis with quantitative/qualitative evaluation.
• Prepare and draft construction documents (plans and specs).
• Support cost‑benefit analysis.
• Perform field work or construction observation.
• Draft memos and project deliverables.
• Assist with quality control and assurance;
• Prepare permit applications and related materials.
