Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to support the Community Development team on a variety of civil infrastructure projects, including public works, municipal roadways, and large master-planned developments across the western United States.

You will help produce design drawings, quantity estimates, and construction documentation, while supporting construction administration and field observation under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in civil engineering projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills for infrastructure delivery.
• Excellent communication, time management and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, Civil3D, AutoTurn) and hydrology/hydraulic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering design drawings from preliminary to final construction stages.
• Support construction administration for public works and site development projects.
• Assist with project scope, budget, and schedule management.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants and vendors.
• Perform field observations under supervision and develop data-driven design decisions.
