Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineer in Training to join the Community Development Group on diverse land development projects. You will assist in preparing construction plans, reports, cost estimates, and specifications while collaborating with design teams.

Responsibilities include data collection, field observation, and ensuring compliance with codes. A Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and EIT potential are preferred as part of growth toward professional licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Engineer-in-Training designation or ability to take the EIT exam within six months.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil design and technical tasks under supervision of Project Manager or Project Engineer.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and professionals.
• Perform data analysis and calculations to analyze civil system components.
• Collect data to support design decisions.
• Perform field work/construction observation under supervision.
• Interpret and verify compliance with codes and standards.
• Analyze proposed solutions for reliability, efficiency, and cost.
• Communicate effectively with project team members, clients, and contractors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
