Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training to join our Community Development practice in San Bernardino, Irvine, or Pasadena, California. You will assist with plans, specifications, and estimates for civil facilities under supervision on diverse projects.

This entry-level position provides mentorship to help you pursue your PE license while gaining experience in residential, commercial, and public sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or similar accredited engineering degree.
• Minimum of 1 year of engineering experience preferred.
• EIT preferred or plans to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in the state of California or demonstrate the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency and flexibility to work in both a team atmosphere and independent environment.
• Commitment to contribute to an organization where client service is a top priority.
• Prior experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
