Job summary

Aligned Data Centers, LLC is seeking a Design Lead for civil engineering to design, coordinate, and quality-control civil deliverables across data center projects. You will translate site constraints into actionable civil design direction and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure on-schedule delivery.

Qualifications include a Civil Engineering degree with PE preferred, 5+ years in civil design, and strong proficiency in Civil 3D/AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; PE license preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in civil design and project management in data center or infra space.
• Strong knowledge of site development, grading, drainage, utilities, and permitting.
• Advanced Excel and AutoCAD experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design Lead and manage civil engineering standards, updates, and quality control across all projects.
• Ensure consistency and compliance of Civil design deliverables with Aligned’s standards.
• Review and responsibility for quality control of design deliverables through full design phase.
• Support early civil design definition during DD by translating constraints into clear direction.
• Provide technical input for expansion, renovation, and upgrade projects.
• Oversee Civil design coordination across disciplines with architectural, structural, and MEP teams.
• Lead or support evaluation of innovative design and construction methodologies.
• Communicate complex civil concepts to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
