Job summary

Atlas Connections seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to design, evaluate, and implement civil systems for mission-critical data center developments. You will partner with engineering, construction, and project management teams to deliver safe, code-compliant infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• PE license is required.
• Approximately 5-10 years of progressive civil engineering experience.
• Strong background in civil design, analysis, topography, and site development.
• Experience with industrial, manufacturing, or mission-critical facilities preferred.
• Construction support experience is a plus.
• Substation-related civil design experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of wetlands, floodplains, and environmental/site development considerations.
• Proficiency with civil engineering design software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate civil infrastructure including roads, site utilities, drainage, grading, and other site systems.
• Coordinate civil designs with architects, project managers, construction teams, and multidisciplinary engineering groups.
• Review civil drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and support during construction.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct site assessments and inspections to identify infrastructure deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Support site due diligence activities, including wetlands delineation, floodplain mapping, topography, and site constraints.
• Investigate and resolve civil design or construction issues.
• Prepare engineering reports, calculations, specifications, and project documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve design processes, constructability, and overall project efficiency.
• Support civil infrastructure associated with industrial, manufacturing, and mission-critical facilities.

About the Opportunity

Our client is a growing engineering and project delivery organization supporting the development of large-scale, mission-critical data center infrastructure.

They are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support the design, evaluation, and execution of civil systems across new and existing data center developments. This role will work closely with engineering, construction, project management, and other technical teams to deliver safe, reliable, and code-compliant infrastructure.

The position offers the opportunity to be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from early site planning and due diligence through design, construction, and implementation.

What You'll Do

• Design and evaluate civil infrastructure including roads, site utilities, drainage, grading, and other site systems
• Support structural, geotechnical, and environmental aspects of projects
