Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license in relevant state(s).
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience with a defense focus.
• Experience with auto, premises liability, and personal injury cases, including trial.
• Strong written and oral advocacy, researching, and drafting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of civil defense matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop and implement defense strategies with clients and claims teams.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement documents; conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
• Represent clients at depositions, mediations, arbitration hearings and trials; coordinate with witnesses and experts.
• Advise clients and adjusters on coverage issues and indemnity exposure.
• Negotiate settlements and manage resolution strategies aligned with client goals.
• Maintain accurate case management records and meet deadlines; communicate with clients and opposing counsel.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff; participate in client meetings.
