Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Georgia Bar in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years in civil litigation or insurance defense.
• Experience with litigation procedures, discovery, legal research, and motion practice.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced law firm.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned litigation matters from inception through trial or resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies with senior attorneys.
• Take and defend depositions; participate in mediations, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
• Review discovery, medical records, expert reports, contracts, and insurance policies.
• Prepare cases for trial with witness prep, exhibits, and trial materials.
• Assist with appellate matters when required.
• Communicate effectively with clients, claims professionals, courts, and counsel.
• Manage multiple active matters with calendars and deadlines.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and potential outcomes; provide updates and strategy recommendations.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, and client service.
