Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney to join our civil defense practice in Denver. You will manage a docket across insurance defense, personal injury, and premises liability from intake through trial.

The ideal candidate has a JD, 3+ years of litigation experience, and strong research, writing, and advocacy skills. You will handle depositions, discovery, settlements, and trial preparation while advising clients and insurers.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with bar admission.
• 3+ years of litigation experience; insurance defense preferred.
• Experience defending personal injury and premises liability claims.
• Strong trial and deposition experience; able to handle hearings independently.
• Excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Proficiency with e-discovery tools and MS Office; comfortable with remote hearings.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation caseload, including defense work.
• Draft, file, respond to pleadings and discovery; support litigation strategy.
• Conduct legal research and develop defense strategies.
• Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses.
• Handle discovery and e-discovery; meet-and-confer obligations.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in ADR including mediation/arbitration.
• Prepare cases for trial; develop themes, exhibits, and jury instructions.
• Communicate with clients and insurers; provide case updates.
• Manage case budgets and billing; report to clients and leadership.
• Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate with team.
