In the role of Civil Construction Inspector I, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting and documenting observations of construction progress for civil projects related to infrastructure such as roads, bridges, water/wastewater facilities, pump stations, and pipelines.
• Monitoring, recording, and inspecting construction progress.
• Coordinating field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders, and performing in-place soil compaction testing.
• Receiving general supervision from the Senior Inspector, who reviews work in progress.
• Performing other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some demonstrated experience in construction inspection.
• Ability to interpret construction schedules.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Successful passing of drug-screening procedures prior to employment; subsequent random and cause drug and alcohol testing required.
