Job Title:

Fire Alarm System Inspector

Salary:

$74,000.00 - $104,000.00 per year

Job Summary:

As a fire alarm system inspector, you will be responsible for completing service requests at various locations within your territory. We seek licensed Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspectors. Your duties include inspecting and testing fire alarm systems to ensure functionality and compliance with NFPA standards, adjusting or repairing malfunctioning systems, and performing basic sprinkler inspections. We look for dependable, self-starting individuals with a proactive attitude to thrive in our fast-paced environment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Schedule fire alarm and sprinkler system inspections.
2. Conduct tests and inspections on fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
3. Coordinate with local fire departments to prevent response during testing.
4. Repair systems if needed or inform the Service Department of customer requirements.
5. Communicate inspection results to customers.
6. Maintain excellent communication with Area Coordinators regarding inspections, rescheduling, etc.
7. Ensure good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Position Details:

• Full-time, 40+ hours weekly.
• Responsible for efficient service call completion.
• Identify emergencies and respond promptly to support customers.
• Use maps and Google Maps for scheduling.

Customer Service:

• Manage incoming calls with customers and office staff.
• Keep thorough documentation of service calls.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Apple iPad.
• Ability to work M-F, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with flexibility.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use an 8-ft ladder.
• Electrical/low voltage certification or construction background is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Travel is 100%, remote work environment.
