Job Title:

Fire Suppression System Inspector

Salary:

$74,000.00 - $104,000.00 per year

Job Summary:

As a fire suppression system inspector, you will be responsible for completing service requests at various locations within your territory. We seek licensed Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspectors to inspect and test fire alarm systems to ensure they function effectively and meet NFPA standards. You will also adjust or repair malfunctioning systems and perform basic sprinkler inspections. We are looking for a dependable, self-starter with a positive attitude to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

1. Schedule fire suppression system inspections
2. Conduct tests and inspections on fire suppression systems
3. Coordinate with local fire departments to avoid response during testing
4. Repair systems if necessary or inform the Service Department of customer needs
5. Advise customers of test and inspection results
6. Maintain excellent communication with your Area Coordinator regarding inspections, scheduling, etc.
7. Ensure good written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal skills are also required

Full-Time Position:

• 40+ hours weekly, responsible for meeting service calls efficiently
• Identify emergencies and respond quickly to support customers
• Use maps, Google Maps, and geographic understanding to schedule effectively

Customer Service Oriented:

• Manage incoming calls from customers and office staff
• Keep thorough documentation of service calls
• Perform other duties as needed

Job Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years post-high school education preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; good interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Apple iPad is necessary
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Availability to work M-F 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and flexibility
• Ability to handle pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs. and use an 8-ft ladder
• Electrical/low voltage certification or construction background is a plus
• Valid driver’s license required
• Travel required 100%, remote work
