Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Laborer Foreman to coordinate crews, prepare and supply materials, and ensure efficient construction workflows in Reno. You will supervise laborers, read blueprints, enforce safety rules, and manage work sequences to meet schedules. Strong teamwork, communication, and ability to coach others are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years related experience preferred.
• Must possess union specific training.
• Current driver's license.
• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; ability to work with machinery such as forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of laborers and their assigned roles.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders.
• Enforce safety regulations and company policies.
• Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules; consider equipment capacities and personnel.
• Study and analyze schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion.
