Job summary

The City of Casper is seeking a highly organized, people-focused professional to build and lead a citywide volunteer services program that connects residents with meaningful opportunities to serve their community. As the Volunteer Services Coordinator, you will work across City departments and with community partners to design opportunities that positively impact our community.

Responsibilities

• Develop a coordinated citywide volunteer services program that supports organizational priorities.
• Standardize volunteer recruitment, onboarding, orientation, placement, training, supervision, recognition, and retention practices.
• Collaborate with City departments to identify operational needs for volunteer engagement.
• Coordinate volunteer compliance requirements including waivers, background screening, safety training, and program documentation.
• Develop and maintain volunteer tracking systems and prepare impact reports for leadership and grants.
• Cultivate partnerships with community organizations, schools, nonprofits, and residents to expand volunteer participation.
• Coordinate volunteer initiatives, recognition programs, and community engagement activities.
• Develop promotional materials and market opportunities through digital platforms and outreach.
• Serve as the primary contact for volunteer services and liaise between departments, volunteers, and the public.
• Prepare reports and strategic planning materials related to volunteer services.
