Job summary

New York City Emergency Management (NYCEM) seeks a College Aide to support citywide continuity efforts, interagency coordination, and special projects. You will assist in research, planning, and communications for the 2026 Citywide Continuity Conference and related CMA initiatives.

You will contribute to preparing summaries on risks, continuity best practices, and supporting documentation, while organizing continuity data and assisting agencies with software tools.

Qualifications

• Ability to pivot work based on agency priorities
• Strong written and oral communication
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Support CMA's citywide continuity initiatives with research, planning, and admin coordination
• Assist with design, logistics, and content for the 2026 Continuity Conference and interagency briefings
• Research emerging risks and continuity best practices to inform CMA projects
• Organize continuity data and review documentation for accuracy, assist agencies with continuity software
• Draft and edit internal materials, guidance, templates, and project updates
• Track deadlines, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and document action items for CMA staff
• Provide general CMA unit support including interagency coordination and continuity exercise prep
