Job summary

The City of Red Oak is seeking an Information Technology Technician to provide technical support for desktop systems, software, and infrastructure. You will install, configure, and repair computers, MDTs, mobile devices, printers, and AV systems, while maintaining documentation and assisting with cybersecurity and backups.

You will support Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and network devices, and help ensure smooth day-to-day operation of City technology resources.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
1–2 years of progressively responsible tech support experience preferred.
Municipal/public sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide help desk support to City employees via in-person, phone, remote, and other methods.
Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair desktops, laptops, MDTs, mobile devices, printers, and AV equipment.
Administer user accounts and access for domain, email, and Microsoft 365 per procedures.
Support meeting room technology for City Council meetings and events.
Assist with backups, cybersecurity, asset documentation, and IT operations.
