The Salvation Army in Chicago is seeking a Director of Accounting- City Fund to oversee all City Fund accounting activities, including AR/AP, financial reporting, forecasting, and audits. You will supervise City Fund staff and advise program directors on financial matters, ensuring compliance with Salvation Army policies and funding requirements.

The role requires a strong background in government contracting, general ledger, and financial analysis, with a Bachelor's degree and MBA/CPA

Formación

• An accounting and finance professional with a minimum of 10 years of management experience.
• Well-rounded accounting background in general ledger, financial analysis and government contract/ grant activity.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA and/or CPA preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee City Fund accounting activities including AR/AP and monthly/annual reporting.
• Supervise City Fund Government Contracts Specialist and Accounting Supervisor.
• Develop annual operating budgets and manage cash flow.
• Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with funding sources and GAAP.
