Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is seeking a Staff Accountant to handle all phases of accounting related to DHQ Monitored Funds. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and significant experience in the field. Qualifications

• 8-10 years or more years experience in the accounting field.
• Non-Profit & Fund Accounting Experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and enter journal entries as approved.
• Review assigned funds for accuracy monthly.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Assist with preparation of audits.
• Prepare monthly financial reports.

Skills

Excellent organizational skills

Working knowledge of accounting software

Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
