Propio Language Services in Dayton, Ohio is seeking American Sign Language onsite interpreters for contract opportunities in the Dayton metro area. Contractors will adhere to Propio's and clients' ethics, privacy, and security standards, and may engage in assignments across healthcare, education, or government settings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Professional proficiency in English and American Sign Language.
• Ability to provide interpretation between English and American Sign Language.
• Must Hold at least ONE American Sign Language Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and American Sign Language during onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
• Comply with Propio and client requirements relating to ethics, confidentiality, privacy, security, and assignment protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy, security, and data-protection requirements (HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, etc.).
• Maintain professional interactions with clients, patients, customers, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain language proficiency and subject-matter knowledge to perform assignments accurately.
