Job summary

Okta’s Services Architect - CIAM is the technical authority for cloud and on-prem IT systems, focusing on customer identity use cases. You’ll build relationships with clients, translate business needs into actionable strategies, and drive initiatives to high business value as part of the Professional Services team.

You’ll support CIC customers, travel up to 50%, and participate in onboarding at SF Bay or Chicago offices during the first week, with remote-friendly engagement options.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT / software development experience including solution design and architecture.
• 3+ years of consulting experience.
• 3+ years driving application architecture design.
• 3+ years of IAM experience.
• 3+ years implementing cloud solutions (AWS, Google Apps, Salesforce).
• Experience with B2C and B2B identity use cases (registration, MFA, SSO).
• Ability to engage with CxOs and executives.
• Experience leading discovery workshops and deriving requirements.
• Experience creating functional and system design specifications.
• Strong knowledge of Security Architecture, LDAP/AD, SAML, SSO, RBAC, OAuth, OIDC, XML/SOAP/JSON/REST.
• Proficiency in Java, .Net, JavaScript, Angular, React.
• Familiarity with IAM providers.
• Experience integrating On-Prem and SaaS solutions.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Gather and lead business, functional and technical requirements for establishing an identity platform.
• Document common requirements for specific solutions.
• Create project plans to develop and implement proposed solutions.
• Lead technical direction within the PS delivery team translating requirements to designs.
• Support periodic health-checks and project reviews with customers.
