Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, create recovery plans, fabricate orthoses, and lead a team of assistants and students.

Responsibilities include post-surgical rehabilitation, collaboration with hand surgeons and other clinicians, and ensuring accurate documentation of therapy services. Licensure and CHT credential are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field required.
• DPT or OT degree preferred; OT licensure required in state.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is preferred and licensure current.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish care plan.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder rehab.
• Document OT services accurately and timely.
• Direct supervision of assistants, students and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit and educate on custom orthoses and splints.
• Treat post-surgical, orthopedic and traumatic upper-extremity conditions, including scar management and edema control.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians and other therapists on care plans.

Education

Bachelor's degree

DPT or OT degree preferred

Graduate of accredited OT program
