Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, create recovery plans, fabricate orthoses, and educate patients in splint care.

The role includes supervising OT staff and collaborating with hand surgeons and other clinicians to deliver comprehensive care and support return-to-work goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plan of care
• Provide hand/upper-extremity rehab and splinting
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services
• Directs and supervises OT Assistants, students and staff
• Design and fabricate custom orthoses and splints
• Educate patients on orthosis wear and care
• Treat post-surgical and injury rehab including edema control and scar management
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and therapists
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning
