Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, create recovery plans, and supervise OT staff in a busy outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include orthotic design/fabrication, post-surgical rehab, scar management, edema control, and interdisciplinary care planning with hand surgeons and other clinicians. Bachelor’s is required; CHT credential is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments; establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient age and condition.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of Occupational Therapy Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit and adjust custom orthoses and splints; educate patients on wear and care.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve and postoperative conditions; assist with return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists and other healthcare professionals.
