UMMC is seeking an Accreditation and Program Manager for Continuing Education to oversee health-professional education programs across schools from inception through completion. You will ensure compliance with accreditation criteria, manage budgets, and coordinate logistics for high-profile events.
The role requires a bachelor’s degree and strong communication skills to interact with speakers, donors, and vendors.
Location/s: Main Campus Jackson
Manages continuing health professional education programs and activities for all UMMC schools from inception to conclusion, ensuring compliance with accreditation criteria. Creates and oversees activity budget, facilitates session logistics and serves as liaison between schools, participants, and presenters.

Knowledge of accreditation standards and criteria for accreditation organizations that support numerous healthcare disciplines including physicians, dentists, nurses, social workers, psychologists, physical and occupational therapists, athletic trainers, and others as needed. Knowledge of budgeting and cost control procedures for high dollar continuing education events/ activities. Knowledge of educational grant procedures that support continuing education. Knowledge of the adult learning model and educational principles. Exemplary professional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with high profile speakers, donors, exhibitors, vendors, and contractual personnel at venues. Critical thinking skills and decision making capabilities. Detail-oriented and the ability to manage numerous activities concurrently in various planning phases.
