Job description

Purpose of Position:

Lead the management and implementation of educational activities that enhance the capabilities of community health centers and consortia in their local health care delivery system as well as advance the work of the CPCA. Provide an advanced level of skilled duties including project management, training design and delivery, and educational activity monitoring and evaluation per established criteria.

Primary Responsibilities:
Continuing Education Program
  • Responsible for planning, producing and evaluating webinars, webcasts, courses, and educational programs in-line with adult learning theory and instructional design best practices.
  • Develop policies and procedures for speakers, staff, and partners involved in activity planning.
  • Manage the coordination of educational activities through regular collaboration with administrative staff and project leads.
  • Forecast and manage training budget including contract negotiations, monitoring revenue and expenses to meet projected targets, and facilitating payments when/where required.
  • Responsible for ensuring activity compliance with accreditation requirements including preparation, documentation, and reporting.
  • Responsible for monitoring and achieving education program performance metrics such as registration targets, satisfaction scores, and revenue goals.
  • Communicate and coordinate with speakers, staff, partners, and subject matter experts to ensure successful development and implementation of activities.
  • Oversee all activity logistics, including delegating tasks to other staff as appropriate, such as registration, access, engagement, and follow-up communications.
  • Coordinate grant-related training deliverables with appropriate staff and ensure activities are implemented on time and within budget and evaluated per related criteria.
Reporting and Evaluation
  • Complete all required activity-level documentation per accreditation, grant, and organizational requirements.
  • Monitor and coordinate accreditation requirements for jointly provided activities.
  • Monitor educational activity performance through a training dashboard and quarterly meetings and provide recommendations to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Contribute to organizational communications and grant efforts such as the annual report, newsletter, grant reports, and other materials as needed.
Business Systems and Technology
  • Explore and implement new technology or other tools to enhance online training and education program offerings.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support the Association’s Strategic Plan deliverables.
  • Respond promptly and thoroughly to member inquiries.
  • High levels of interaction with association members, vendors, and strategic partners.
  • Travel for national and regional meetings, trainings, and site visits by air and ground transportation, as required.
  • Report regularly to supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Act as the lead in educational activity management including implementation, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Develop a high level of expertise in assigned content areas to provide guidance and technical assistance to staff and Association membership
  • Knowledge of ACCME and Joint Accreditation requirements and accredited continuing education
  • Assist with grant and budget management, contract development and reporting.
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and professional skills when engaging with Association membership and Board of Directors, vendors and partners.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leadership and multi-departmental teams.
  • Advanced problem solving, critical thinking, organization and time management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications and platforms.
  • Self-direct, recommend strategic direction and influence change.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required. Degrees in education, learning design, or organizational psychology may be helpful, but no specific degree is required. Minimum of four years of program or project management or equivalent experience. Experience with community health centers, member-driven associations, or non-profit organizations is also preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
