Choice + Program - Respiratory Therapist

Northside Hospital's Choice+ is a clinical career program offering the flexibility of an agency with the growth and advantages of working directly for Northside. The Respiratory Therapist in this program regularly provides respiratory care for patients in adult, neonatal, and outpatient CPAP centers. Responsibilities may include performing ECG, EEG, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy, and other tests within the scope of practice as defined by national standards.

Required Qualifications

1. Current and valid license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with the Georgia Composite Medical Board.
2. Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program with an Associate's degree.
3. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
4. At least two (2) years of current clinical experience post-residency or new graduate orientation in the areas they will be working.
5. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications by the American Heart Association. NRP certification is required when rotating to the NICU or attending deliveries.
6. Minimum of one year experience with non-invasive pressure devices (for CPAP Department only).

Preferred Qualifications

1. At least one (1) year of travel experience with an external or internal agency program (excluding float pools).
