Job summary

NSA's Linguists, known as Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs), are expected to take an inclusive approach to problem solving and mission accomplishment by frequently engaging with partners, enablers, and customers across the Intelligence Community. LADP or direct hire paths are offered with up to three years of development and multiple operational tours.

The role requires ILR level 2/2 in reading/listening for Chinese, strong written and oral communication, and the ability to synthesize

Qualifications

• ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language.
• One year of relevant experience in language work or related fields.
• Security background investigation and polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Offer policymakers and leaders a window into the foreign language world by analyzing, transcribing, and translating key information.
• Research cultures and geopolitical context; synthesize large data volumes from disparate sources.
• Develop written and oral assessments with unique insights for the SIGINT mission.
• Work independently and with NSA and IC analysts in research, analysis, and reporting.
