Job summary

NSA's Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs) support the SIGINT mission through language analysis, translation, and reporting. MDLAs may enter the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or be hired directly into analytic offices, with tours and intensive training to build core competencies.

Applicants should reflect ILR level 2/2 in reading/listening; a degree in any field is acceptable and relevant experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language.
• Degree in any field accepted; relevant experience in language work or related fields.
• Experience leading others or working with intelligence communities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate key information for policymakers and analysts.
• Research cultures and geopolitical contexts to support SIGINT mission.
• Apply new techniques to analyze large data volumes from disparate sources.
• Mentor and coach other Language Analysts and ensure mission health.
