Job summary

NSA is seeking linguists in a role focused on Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs) to support SIGINT missions. The position emphasizes language analysis, translation, and collaboration across offices to deliver actionable intelligence.

Applicants must meet ILR 2/2 proficiency and may participate in LADP or direct hire tracks. Responsibilities include analyzing language data, producing reports, and mentoring others as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum language proficiency ILR 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language.
• Experience in translation, transcription, or language analysis is acceptable.
• Entry level: high school diploma + 4 years or Associate's +2 or Bachelor’s +0 years.
• Developmental level: progress with increased responsibilities.
• Ability to synthesize information and provide timely customer service.

Responsibilities

• Analyze foreign language materials to generate SIGINT insights.
• Transcribe, translate, and evaluate quality of language outputs.
• Collaborate with analysts and partners across the Intelligence Community.
• Prepare written assessments and oral briefings for policymakers and leaders.
• Maintain proficiency and pass required language testing.
