Job summary

NSA seeks Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs) with strong Chinese language skills and analytical abilities to support the SIGINT mission. The role may involve LADP or direct hire into analytic offices, with an emphasis on language analysis, transcription, and reporting.

Applicants must meet ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening and have a degree in any field. Training tours and multiple assignments across offices are expected, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum acceptable qualifications include ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language.
• Degree in any field is acceptable; 1 year of relevant experience in language work or related fields.
• Experience can be in intelligence analysis, security studies, or related domains.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate key information to support policymakers and analysts.
• Research cultures and geopolitical contexts to inform SIGINT assessments.
• Apply new techniques to synthesize large data volumes and disparate sources.
• Demonstrate understanding of communications and technology trends; craft written and oral assessments.
• Work independently and collaborate with NSA and IC partners to produce analytic reporting.
