Job summary

The National Security Agency (NSA) seeks Linguists to join the Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs) program or be hired directly into analytic offices supporting SIGINT missions. LADP lasts up to three years with rotations, classroom and computer-based training to develop key analytic competencies.

MDLAs analyze foreign language materials, produce translated reporting, and craft assessments while collaborating across NSA and the Intelligence Community.

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language.
• Degree in any field acceptable; relevant experience may substitute for language work.
• Entry/Developmental: HS diploma + 4 years or AA + 2 years or BA + 0 years.
• Full Performance: varies by degree and years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate foreign language materials.
• Engage with partners and customers across the Intelligence Community.
• Develop and apply analytic skills in SIGINT mission contexts.
• Mentor and coach others language analysts as needed.
• Ensure quality and timeliness of intelligence products.
