Jefferson Blount St Clair Mental Health Authority in Birmingham, AL seeks a Night shift Team Member for the Children’s Mobile Crisis Response Team. You will provide on-site crisis intervention for children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance, de-escalate crises, and connect families to local resources through a coordinated team.

Role requires a Bachelor’s in a human services field and driver’s license; 12-hour rotating day or night shifts include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related human services field with crisis intervention emphasis.
• Two years experience with children/adolescents with serious emotional disturbance in a community setting preferred.
• Valid Alabama driver’s license and auto insurance meeting state standards.

Responsabilités

• Respond on-site to mental health crisis situations with Team Leader.
• Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and support services to children/adolescents.
• Assess mental health needs and identify resources and supports.
• Link children/adolescents to agency, DHR, and community resources within 24 hours.
• Document accurately in electronic medical record.
• Provide case updates to Mobile Crisis Response Team Coordinator.
• Offer case consultations and follow-up information to Jefferson County DHR.
• Perform outreach with DHR, ERs, police, juvenile court, schools and community agencies.
• Coordinate internal communication with MCT staff (Coordinator, Team Leader, Therapist, Care Coordinator, Phone Triage).
• Provide transportation to families when needed.
• Maintain data as required by agency and partners.
• Perform other administrative duties as required.
