Job summary

Jefferson Blount St Clair Mental Health Authority seeks a Children’s Mobile Crisis Response Team Therapist to provide intake, therapy, and crisis intervention for children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances. The role involves collaboration with the MCT and community resources to meet behavioral and emotional health needs.

The therapist will conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress in an EMR system.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling with clinical/crisis focus.
• Two years’ experience with children/adolescents with serious emotional disturbance preferred.
• State licensure preferred (LICSW, LPC, LMFT).
• Valid Alabama driver’s license and vehicle insurance meeting state standards.

Responsibilities

• Interview, evaluate and assess mental health needs of children/families.
• Provide intake, individual, group and family therapy with behavior modification and parent education.
• Document charts and treatment plans in EMR daily.
• Collaborate with MCT Coordinator and team; participate in staffings and case reviews.
