Job summary

EMPACT-SPC is seeking a Children’s Urgent Response Specialist to join our team at Tempe or Glendale offices. You will provide direct crisis intervention in home, school, and community settings for children and families enrolled with our program.

The role requires coordinating care across Behavioral Health providers, Juvenile Probation, schools, and child safety agencies, with availability to work nights and weekends. Training and professional development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED, BHT requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in behavioral field preferred.
• Experience in community behavioral health required; AZ Children’s Behavioral Health System knowledge preferred.
• Five (5) years of prior behavioral health related work experience preferred.
• Prior experience with Child Family Team Process and AZ 12 Principles and AZ Vision required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; team player.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a differentiator.
• Fingerprint clearance card required or eligible to obtain.
• AZ driver’s license with clean record; reliable transportation required.
• Must be 21+ years old; willingness to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct crisis intervention in home, school, and community settings.
• Coordinate care with Behavioral Health providers, Juvenile Probation, schools, and child safety agencies.
• Maintain documentation and ensure quality of service delivery.
• Work independently and as part of a cohesive team, including vehicle oversight and safety checks.
• Respond to crisis situations and de-escalate in volatile environments.
