Job summary

Davis Street is seeking a Provider Payment Specialist to review, analyze, and process childcare provider reimbursements for families in the Alternative Payment Program. Under general supervision, you ensure reimbursements are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulations.

You will verify attendance, enrollment, and hours, reconcile forms, and resolve disputes. You will maintain records, assist providers, and explain subsidy policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years in customer service, data entry, or childcare subsidy programs.
• Sensitivity to the needs of low-income clients.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems.
• Ability to analyze records and maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong customer service, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and government regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review and process attendance forms for provider reimbursement.
• Verify attendance, enrollment, and authorized hours before reimbursements.
• Reconcile attendance forms with authorized childcare schedules to identify discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Family Specialist regarding attendance or eligibility inconsistencies.
• Resolve disputes regarding over- or under-reimbursement.
• Maintain accurate reimbursement records and data entries.
• Assist providers with attendance forms, reimbursement forms, direct deposit enrollment, and required program documentation.
• Explain subsidy reimbursement policies, procedures, and reimbursement requirements to providers.
• Maintain accurate provider reimbursement records and documentation for auditing and reporting purposes.
• Monitor compliance with subsidy program regulations, reporting requirements, and audit standards
• Attend all department and agency-wide staff meetings and training sessions.
• Participate in agency outreach and special events.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
