Job summary

Child Prodigy East of Lee’s Summit, MO is seeking a Full-time Floater for our licensed childcare center. A high school diploma or GED is required, and the ability to pass background checks is essential. Prior childcare experience is preferred.

Shift: Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm. Compensation ranges from $15 to $17 per hour, based on education and experience. We offer competitive pay, paid trainings, comprehensive benefits, a 401k with match, childcare discounts, and a welcoming, open-door workplace.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to support the center as needed (cover breaks, fill in for absences, take on classroom duties).
• Demonstrate patience, kindness and positive interactions with children, parents and staff.
• Work as a team player under the lead teacher's direction.
• Maintain physical activity around children (sitting, standing, walking, running, climbing stairs).
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs and meet all physical requirements of the role.

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Willingness to support the center as needed. This includes covering staff members’ breaks, filling in for staff members in their absences, and assuming the classroom duties of staff members.


• Demonstrate patience, kindness and positive interactions with all children, parents, and staff.


• Operate as a team player and willingness to help where needed under the director of the lead teacher.


• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.


• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
