Little Hands Daycare in Maine is seeking a Floater. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of childcare classroom experience, with CDA/AA preferred.

Hours are Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:30pm, with compensation $16–$21 per hour depending on education and experience. Responsabilités

• Prepare lesson plans developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans weekly across all areas of child development and communicate with parents via the app.
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Ensure safety and a clean, organized, and decorated classroom.
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios; conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences in November and May.
• Physically able to work around young children; lift up to 40 lbs; perform daily classroom duties.

Age groups:All To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED, one year of childcare classroom experience, and ability to pass all background checks. Main Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
