Qualifications

• Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1.
• Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program.
• A bachelor’s degree with a social welfare major, or a bachelor’s degree with 12 related credits and one year of related experience.
• Equivalents with 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology or related social sciences.

Responsibilities

• Interviews and Assessments: Interview clients and families to identify barriers to child well-being.
• Service Support: Guide families in forming plans for healthier behaviors.
• Case Management: Maintain caseloads and keep reports organized and current.
• Protective Services: Provide protective and supportive services for children at risk.
• Court Preparation: Prepare materials and present information at hearings when required.
• Field Responsibilities: Travel frequently and work in varied environments to support families.
