Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current social case management principles, techniques, and methods.
• Knowledge of social welfare policy and law as they relate to agency function and purpose.
• Ability to conduct individual and family interviews and identify problems.
• Ability to plan, organize work, maintain a caseload, and prepare records/reports.
• Ability to interpret and apply regulations governing agency services.

Responsibilities

• Gather information from clients and families to identify problems and connect them to services.
• Provide casework and counseling to help clients achieve better adjustment.
• Provide protective and supportive services for abused or neglected individuals.
• Prepare court documents and provide testimony according to agency procedures.
• Develop service plans and continually assess and revise to meet goals.
