Job summary

Camelot Community Care is seeking a dedicated Child Welfare Case Manager in Florida to help children reach their fullest potential. You will maintain child welfare certification, coordinate with court activities, complete assessments and reports, and support families in care to ensure permanency and safety.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field and at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field is required.
• One year of relevant social services experience with children and families preferred.
• Child Welfare Certification is required or must be obtained after training.

Responsibilities

• Participate in staff development opportunities and maintain child welfare certification through ongoing training.
• Back up other team members and assist on cases as needed.
• Maintain relationships with supervisory staff and community resource providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Accurately complete case notes and enter data as required by policy and contractual outcomes.
• Prepare for and attend court activities, including hearings and related proceedings.
• Develop and complete judicial reviews, assessments, and reports on time according to policy.
• Attend individual case staffings and conduct safety assessments.
• Make referrals for services and arrange emergency placements as needed.
• Conduct diligent searches for parents and family members and document efforts.
• Complete home studies for prospective placements and plan visits with families.
• Maintain monthly face-to-face contacts with children, parents, and relatives; monitor progress toward goals.
• Support foster and adoptive families and, when applicable, negotiate subsidy agreements.
