Job summary

Camelot Community Care is seeking a Child Welfare Case Manager in Orlando, FL. This full-time role focuses on safeguarding and supporting children, completing court-related tasks, and coordinating services for families.

The ideal candidate holds a 4-year degree in social work or related field, with child welfare certification and strong Microsoft Office skills. Travel up to 50% may be required; health and retirement benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Social Work or related field; one year of relevant social services experience.
• Child Welfare Certification: training and certification required.
• Background clearance screening letter on file.
• Valid driver's license and insurability to drive for agency.
• Ability to evaluate risk factors for child abuse/neglect.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Participates in staff development and maintains child welfare certification.
• Backs up team members and assists on cases.
• Maintain relationships with supervisory staff and community providers.
• Establishes permanency goals and safety for children.
• Completes case notes accurately and on time.
• Prepares for and attends court activities and hearings.
• Develops judicial reviews and required reports timely.
• Attends staffings and conducts safety assessments.
• Makes referrals for services and coordinates placements.
• Conducts home studies for prospective placements.
• Plans visits between children and families.
• Maintains monthly face-to-face contacts with caseload.
• Reviews progress toward case plan goals and supports foster/adoptive families.
• Negotiates subsidy agreements when applicable and assists with adoptions.
