Job summary

YMCA of Greater Waukesha County is seeking a Child Watch Staff member to provide safe, nurturing childcare for children from 6 weeks to 7 years old in our program. You will supervise, engage in age-appropriate activities, and act as a positive representative with parents and members.

Responsibilities include maintaining attendance records, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and following YMCA policies. The role requires clear communication, maturity, and the ability to respond quickly in

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about working with children.
• Effective communication with members, parents, and children.
• Must be able to exercise sound judgment and stay alert to safety concerns.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred; training provided by the YMCA.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children 6 weeks – 7 years of age.
• Handle communications with parents and members.
• Identify individual needs and provide care accordingly.
• Maintain attendance, emergency records, and other documentation.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of equipment and facilities.
• Follow YMCA policies and participate in staff meetings as needed.
