Job summary

YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking a part-time Child Watch Attendant to supervise children, lead age-appropriate activities, and ensure a safe, engaging environment within our branches. The role requires energy, reliability, and a positive example for youth.

Training is provided for safety certifications, with bilingual staff receiving a +10% differential. This position offers year-round work with benefits including free family membership, program discounts, and retirement support.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Experience working with children and understanding of child development preferred.
• ARC/YMCA First Aid, CPR and Blood Borne Pathogens training within 30 days of hire; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Closely supervises all children attending Child Watch to maintain a safe environment.
• Keeps track of staff-to-child ratio and headcount at all times.
• Keeps the facility clean and safe as described in Child Watch expectations.
• Implements activities suitable for children.
• Communicates clearly with parents, peers, and supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Child Watch is a program located in our YMCA branches that provide members with childcare while they work out, take classes or swim. The children play inside and outside, do craft projects, enjoy games and sports, and more. Child Watch is available to children ages 6 weeks to 10 years of age.Are you a responsible and reliable role model for littles?
