Job summary

YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City is looking for a responsible individual to supervise the Child Watch area, ensuring a safe, engaging environment for children while communicating with parents. The role supports families and aligns with the Y’s mission.

Starting at $10.00 per hour, the position offers flexible hours and on-site training. Applicants must be 16+, with experience with infants/children, and will complete required safety certifications after hire.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years old with experience in working with infants and children.
• Must be certified in CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid (training provided by the Y).
• Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Keep accurate attendance and enrollment records.
• Keep child watch area clean and equipment organized.
• Communicate regularly with parents.
• Interact individually with children.
• Adhere to YMCA mission and philosophy.
• Supervise children at all times and diaper as needed.
• Develop meaningful relationships with members, donors and volunteers.
