Job summary

Utah Office of Recovery Services in Utah seeks a diligent Child Support Caseworker to establish paternity, enforce orders, and collect payments. You will prepare court documentation and communicate with families to promote financial responsibility.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (8 a.m.–5 p.m.), in‑office work, and a full benefits package. Starting pay is $20.31 per hour, increasing to $22.60 after a probation period, with a path for career growth.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in a technology-driven environment with intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• Exceptional ability to multi-task and make quick decisions.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Ability to contact individuals or organizations to secure delinquent payments and arrange payment plans.
• Ability to interpret, clarify, explain and apply agency policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive extensive training to learn establishing paternity and child support orders, and enforcing orders.
• Verify and/or correct balances owed; determine legal actions like garnishment or liens.
• Prepare documentation in support of court hearings.
• Conduct research to gather evidence and apply agency rules and policies.
