Job summary

Utah Office of Recovery Services in Utah seeks a diligent Child Support Caseworker to establish paternity, enforce orders, and collect payments. You will prepare court documentation and communicate with families to promote financial responsibility.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (8 a.m.–5 p.m.), in‑office work, and a full benefits package. Starting pay is $20.31 per hour, increasing to $22.60 after a probation period, with a path for career growth.

Contribute to our communities by helping the Utah Office of Recovery Services(ORS) in their mission to promote responsibility, by providing child supportservices and support for children in care to help ensure parents arefinancially responsible for their children. ORS also helps ensure public fundsare used appropriately through the efforts of our Bureau of MedicalCollections.

Starting Pay: $20.31 per hour

The hourly rate of pay goes up to $22.60 per hour upon successful completionof a one-year probation period!

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for hard-working, ambitious people to work as a Child SupportCaseworker (Compliance Agent I) to:

• Receiveextensive training to learn the interesting process of legallyestablishing paternity and child support orders, and/or enforcing ordersby collecting child support and enforcing other provisions within theorder.
• Verifyand/or correct balances owed, determine appropriate legal action includinggarnishment or liens.
• Preparedocumentation in support of cases presented in court hearings.
• Conductresearch to gather evidence, analyze facts, and apply knowledge of theOffice of Recovery Services' rules, regulations, and policies.

• Effectivelyinterpret, clarify, explain and apply agency policy and procedures, business practices, federal or state laws, and regulations.
