Job summary

The Fayette County Attorney's Office Division of Child Support Services seeks a Child Support Caseworker I to initiate, review, and maintain paperwork and court documents for assigned cases. You will assist with constituent calls, provide required paperwork, and connect callers with the right staff.

Key duties include data entry, case updates, and professional interactions with the public in person or by phone.

Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework preferred.
• Experience in family law, child support administration, public assistance, or general office work preferred.
• Proficient data entry and document preparation.
• Regular and reliable attendance mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, update, and maintain case information in the child support system with accuracy.
• Refer matters to attorneys or other caseworkers in a timely manner.
• Communicate clearly with co-workers and partner staff.
• Conduct interviews to obtain information for case management.
• Perform case reviews and searches to determine actions.
• Handle high-volume phone calls and walk-in inquiries.
