Job summary

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board seeks an experienced Child Development Supervisor to coordinate Rec Plus school-age care and other child development programs across MPRB facilities, meeting diverse community needs.

You will supervise certified and seasonal staff, partner with community organizations, support inclusion services, ensure DHS childcare requirements, and manage the citywide registration system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field are required or considered.
• At least five years of increasingly responsible child development experience.
• At least three years of supervisory experience.
• Experience using youth development program evaluation tools for assessment and quality.
• Progressively responsible leadership roles overseeing multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist with oversight of delivery of school-age care programs at neighborhood parks to meet standards and best practices.
• Interview, hire, train, supervise, evaluate and discipline certified and seasonal staff.
• Coordinate inclusion services within Rec Plus with other supervisors and the Child Development Manager.
• Assist with DHS childcare requirements for staff, space, records, training and onboarding.
• Manage the web-based citywide registration system including enrollment, reports, billing, training staff, and data collection.
